What is Mobilize?
Mobilize is a seasonal work and travel adventure. This is your opportunity to live and work in amazing Canadian locations, work with national brands, and make memories that last a lifetime!
Want to stay and work locally? We may have positions in your existing area! The majority of our workers choose Mobilize for the travel adventure, but there is absolutely no mandatory requirement to travel for this program.
Is this a paid opportunity?
Yes! This is a paid, full-time opportunity. Wages vary according to the province you will be working in, and you may have the opportunity to make tips depending on your position.
What types of positions will I have?
Mobilize placement partners are mostly in the Hospitality, Tourism, Restaurant and Resort industries. While some are year round, most placements are for summer or winter, lasting about six months. Roles available include, but are not limited to, Front Desk Attendant, Housekeeping, Server, Kitchen Helper, Culinary, etc. The types of positions available will grow as we partner with more companies across the country. You will have the opportunity to indicate what kind of roles you would be interested in during the interview process and will only be deployed to positions that you sign off on.
Do I need experience?
NO INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR THIS PROGRAM! You just need to have the right attitude, a sense of adventure, a desire to learn, and the ability to commit to a six month seasonal deployment with the program. You will be given the training you need to be ready to take on these roles and continuously mentored throughout the program by Mobilize staff and placement partners.
Where will I be living?
The locations (e.g. town/city/tourist destination, etc.) involved in the program depend on the partnering businesses participating in Mobilize. The program is active in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, the Yukon, and Ontario, and will be expanding across the country. For example, you could be living in Banff, Fort McMurray, Edmonton, Jasper, or Whistler.
What kind of housing will I get?
The greatest part about this program is that furnished housing is always a part of the package! We know how hard it is to secure a place to live, so we work with your placement partners to ensure you have a clean and safe place to call home when you arrive. Each location will be different and have different housing styles and models. You will have all the details before you commit, including pictures, and costs that might arise and of course, a packing list. Shared accommodations are normal for the season – think university-style housing. If you have friends who may be interested in experiencing this program as well – let us know! You could be roommates on this awesome adventure.
Will I be safe with my roommates?
Yes. All Mobilize job seekers must meet strict criteria before being accepted into the program, including a clear background check, positive work and character references, and in-depth interviews that determine the overall fit with the program.

If I am offered a job, when do I leave?
Our groups leave two seasons annually, every summer and winter. Once you are offered a contract with us, we will have training and orientation leading up to your departure so that you will be completely ready to hit the road for your work/travel adventure!
Do you charge any fees?
No, we do not charge any fees to be a part of the Mobilize program.
Do I have to travel or relocate to be a part of the program?
Travel is not a mandatory part of the program. Each placement reflects a different unique position and we strive to hire locally for each role. The majority of our workers choose Mobilize for the travel adventure, but there is absolutely no mandatory requirement to travel for this program. Should workers choose to continue to another position in another region across Canada, that is an option for them too.
Who pays for travel
You are responsible for your travel costs throughout the duration of your program experience.
Will I be safe?
Mobilize only partners with ethical and credible employers. We go to great lengths to ensure all our employers provide safe and compliant work environments for our staff.
Can I apply with a group of friends?
Of course! If you and a group of friends are applying together, let us know! If you are all offered contracts, we will ensure that you are housed together so that you are able to share this amazing adventure.
